Jan Priesmann studied Industrial Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University with a focus on energy engineering and innovation, marketing and entrepreneurship. He received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. RWTH) degree in 2016 and a Master of Science (M.Sc. RWTH) degree in 2018. During his studies he worked among others as a scientific assistant at the Research Institute for Rationalization (FIR) and at the Chair of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering (IMA). He wrote his master thesis on Complexity in Energy System Models at the Junior Professorship for Energy Resource and Innovation Economics (JERI) at FCN. Since December 2018 he has been working at the institute as a research associate and doctoral student.
