Curriculum Vitae

Christina Kockel studied Business Administration and Engineering: Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University with a focus on electrical energy engineering and sustainability and corporations. In 2015 she earned her bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. RWTH) and in 2019 the master’s degree (M.Sc. RWTH). During her studies, she worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) in the Strategy and Consulting department. She conducted her master’s thesis at RWTH Aachen in cooperation with Forschungszentrum Jülich in the field of life cycle assessment for microgrids. Since March 2019, Christina Kockel worked first as a research associate and PhD student at the Junior Professorship for Energy Resource and Innovation Economics of the FCN and since the beginning of 2021 at the Chair of Energy System Economics.

  • 2022: Best Student Paper Award der 43rd IAEE International Conference in Tokio, Japan.
  • 2019: Best Paper Award of the 3rd International Conference on Energy, Ecology and Environment (ICEEE) in Stavanger, Norwegen
