Curriculum Vitae

Jan Priesmann studied Industrial Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University with a focus on energy engineering and innovation, marketing and entrepreneurship. He received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. RWTH) degree in 2016 and a Master of Science (M.Sc. RWTH) degree in 2018. He wrote his master thesis on Complexity in Energy System Models at the Junior Professorship for Energy Resource and Innovation Economics (JERI) at FCN. Since December 2018, Jan Priesmann worked first as a research assistant and PhD student at the Junior Professorship for Energy Resource and Innovation Economics of the FCN and since the beginning of 2021 at the Chair for Energy System Economics. His research focuses on energy system modeling as well as questions of social justice and energy poverty in the context of the energy transition.
