Within the German-West African research project WASCAL (West African Science Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Chair for Energy System Economics is involved in the master's program "International Masters Program in Energy and Green Hydrogen" together with other chairs at RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich. In this in-depth study program, students are trained to become experts who will contribute substantially to the development of a sustainable energy system in Western and Southern Africa. In particular, the role of green hydrogen in this development is the focus of the lecture program. Teaching and supervision of the students take place both online and within face-to-face meetings both on the African continent and in Germany.

In the context of the specialization "Economics, Policies & Infrastructures", the Chair of Energy System Economics is involved with the module "Energy System Economics".
